PowerRecovery Lite 5.5 is a recovery software which can scan and find lost partitions, boot sectors and other file system components. The program supports file systems such as FAT 12/16/32 which is used by hard disks, disks, Smartmedia, Compact Flash, Memory sticks and other devices. It also has a support for NTFS file system.
PowerRecovery can scan all the volumes in a local machine. It also lists down and builds a directory tree of lost and deleted files. It can scan all the volumes present in a local machine and hence forth build a directory of the deleted and lost files. It has the ability to search for the lost and deleted files according to a file name criteria given in the search. The program has a fast scanning engine which enables the search to be done within a few minutes.
The program has a typical save file dialog and a file manager. It doesn’t write operation on drive containing the files to be recovered; therefore, it has a secure un-deleting feature. It can save the recovered files and media to any window drive. It also has a support for compressed and encrypted files in the form of NTFS. The list of all the files undeleted or recovered can be saved to a file or can be taken as a print out.
